A stroll in the heart of the city after Pandemic
What do we do when it gets above 42C in Dubai? nothing really; the city goes on as normal. What is Dubai after all? Is it a country? An Emirate or a concept in design? Dubai is an experiment that has worked since its inception. The place is like a mega shopping centre with customers coming and going and then coming again for more. It's a fairyland that never sleeps as the doors are always open for business.
I am a resident of this magnificent city since 1996 and have seen it grow. The place has had its dips but then something happens; this something is the magical formula that keeps attracting people in hordes. A typical example is the cleanliness of the toilets at all public places and shopping malls; how these busy places are kept clean at all times and seamlessly is a thing of legend. Everything has been designed to work like clockwork, everything.
After the global financial crisis in 2008 and the subsequent crash in real estate, it was speculated that Dubai had seen its best and it's going to be all downhill from there, the place persevered and added strength to even the weakest links in the system. So what makes this place tick? What are the ingredients and magic potions that the city brings to the world?
