A Professional Barista would sip an espresso and go into detail about the origins, age and elevation of the coffee plantation. This is a site to behold as its art, love, passion and sensory excellence in a ballad of aromas.

My love affair with coffee and roasting and everything in between is quite recent. The science and the business involved in this little bean take ages to master and then as in every other business there are Zen Masters. I chanced upon one expert recently whose story absolutely qualifies for the InspireME series. A young professional with a passion for coffee, based in a country that has been sanctioned for decades, yet the grit and perseverance of its youth never cease to surprise us.

Here’s Mansour Zandinahad narrating his journey with coffee:

I am Mansour Zandi Nezhad. I have worked in various departments in the hotel industry since I was 16. At the age of 25, I became a barista, and in the first months of my work, a group from Italy came to Iran to hold barista competitions, and I was able to become a finalist in the 2014 competition. I told myself I must have a talent for this job, so I pursued it passionately and worked on improving my skills.
