A DOG IS A DOG UNTIL HE IS FACING YOU, THEN ITS MR DOG

The State of our World.

Where have all the wise leaders gone? Do we have anyone who is willing to talk or the only language that’s left to speak is that of bombs and missiles? It seems that the mind and tongues of the so-called leaders is somehow connected to the central servers of the military industrial complex, and they aren’t allowed to utter any sentence that can have an iota of sensibility. The urge to burn, destroy, annihilate and cripple comes before any empathetic feeling and that too is selected for the few according to the regional inclinations. Today, the name of the game is “might is right” and its being followed to the core.

Sao, as the title of the article goes, who are the Mr Dogs playing the game now and what are the apparent implications on the global business cycles. The Mr Dog scenario also depends on who and where you are as a Mr Dog would be flexing his muscles in a certain region but elsewhere, he’s just a plain old street puppy, dog.

The Middle East: All-time favourite region of the military industrial complex where sales targets are always met, and the vendors get a great practice field testing on live targets. The United States and its boys had been on the sidelines selling their goodies to select party in the current Israel-Hamas conflict but suddenly the Houthis of Yemen started showing their teeth. What a travesty that minions can come in and disrupt trade routes. They were warned about their place in the food chain but refused to listen and then got what they deserved; I don’t know why whole communities forget their Mr Dog vs Dog scenarios, but this is what happened. The problem is that these are some seriously stubborn dogs who aren’t getting the message and have restarted their attacks on the key trade routes targeting every ship that dares pass. The problem is that they are connected to the Iranians who are also present in Lebanon and within the hotchpotch and crisscross the experts do not seem to figure out whether the prices of commodities should be increased or left where they are. This is not ending well and the Middle East is looking at a possible catastrophe where the sides have been defined and covert and overt operations are tilting the balance in a new direction daily. If a regional tinder box blows up for any reason like the one that happened during the first Gulf War with Kuwait, then we are looking not just at pricing hiking up but also an exodus of expatriates back to the home territories effecting livelihoods locally as well in their own markets. Inflation is already on the lose and the supply until now is under control but that can change at any time. I have six separate tabs of news sites opened on my phone and each one has a different take on the same story.

Ukraine: This one is beyond understanding and belief, no one seems to know what is happening and who is fighting who. In the meantime, the apparent bad guy is gaining strength and claiming the Mr Dog top spot. Oil prices, yes, this must be watched and the energy in Europe is a question mark as well. We are looking at a serious inflationary situation soon if the halt doesn’t come into effect soon as the dogs in the Middle East are fast aligning themselves with the Mr Dog in the Ukrainian conflict. This thing would go out of hands if somehow Iran jumps into the foray, and yesterday they did with an announced attack in Erbil and trying to claim the Mr D title for their territories. Their ego had been bruised last month and they didn’t want to take it sitting down. So, the far-off conflict in the North can seep its residue again into the Middle East.

China: The C in BRICS had and has been showing its teeth for some time now, hard to handle and is quietly creating fireworks. If you listen to BBC and CNN, then the country has already gone to the cleaners, but the dragon is in waiting and not meddling itself in other people’s affairs. Taiwan is being naughty, but they are nuisance and nothing more than that. The challenge might come in the form of the change of guards in the US presidential elections and if MAGA makes a comeback then a lot of things would hit the fan. The Chinese are watching, and the consequences can be severe for their economy and then when the dragon sneezes, the little frogs get a flu. The Mr Dog is patiently waiting for November and in the meantime strengthening the BRICS circumference.

The global economy is on a standstill, there aren’t many heroes at this stage and the best option is to wait out 2024 before getting into significant investments.

Lets keep looking for Dogs and Mr Dogs.
